Registan - Heart of ancient Samarkand in Uzbekistan. The name is translated as, a sandy place, speak, this name has occured that the ground here was sand to absorb blood of victims of public executions which ostensibly made on this place down to the beginning of XX century. Still speak, that Registan was a place, where Tamerlan exposed on display of a head of the victims which have been pinned on probes, and also a place, and where people gathered to listen to royal decrees before which reading loudly blew in copper pipes. However it is necessary to remember, that in days of Timur who has died in 1405, on that area there was no of the buildings existing nowadays, considered masterpieces of east architecture.
The ensemble from three medrese is a unique example of art of town-planning, he/she is the remarkable sample of architectural registration of the main area of city.
